The Prince - Sheet Music

In August 2022 I sat down at my grandparents' piano and played a piece for them that I'd written earlier that year. My grandpa gave me a hug and told me he loved it.

This was the last time I ever performed for him, as soon after he broke his hip and passed a few weeks later. This song is dedicated to his memory: his name, Amir, is Farsi for "prince."

He left Iran in the 1940s for a better life in the United States, and I’m grateful for him and everything he gave my family. 💙
